SC for Ed is an organization created by educators that aims to improve the public education in South Carolina.

Originating as a closed group on Facebook, SC for Ed grew rapidly, adding over 20,000 members in the closed group in just five months.

 

With our continued growth, we began working to fix educational issues by engaging in the following actions:

- Hosting town halls with election candidates

- Meeting with members of the South Carolina School Board Association

- Meeting with members of the SC Education Oversight Committee

- Engaging in education rallies

- Hosting county meetings for educators, known as "Palmetto Caucuses" to discuss issues in education across the state

- Mobilizing educators to contact their representatives and school board members

 

As we continue to grow, we plan to host more conferences, palmetto caucuses, rallies, and mobilize for a state-wide educator movement to ensure the change needed in SC education is obtained.
